Ah, the joy of remote work. You wake up in the morning (probably 5-10 minutes before you’re supposed to clock in), grab your first cup of coffee, and sit down to read your emails still in your pajamas. The remote work life has opened a whole new world of opportunity that’s blurred the lines that once separated our work life from actual life. And with all the incredible advantages that come with this new era of work, there are also some downsides that we’re all too familiar with by now. If you don’t work remote and it’s something you would like to do, spoiler alert: Working remote can have a serious impact on your motivation.
For me, I would never go back to a work situation that isn’t at least somewhat remote. That being said, I know firsthand the feelings of demotivation and cabin fever that can often arise from working from home and staying in your pjs a bit longer than you should. And that’s why I’m offering some of my top tips to help feel motivated when working from home.
